Updated to 3.2.1 and PP 1.5.3. - WP acting strange

Recommended Posts

After updating WP to 3.2.1. and then subsequently updating Platform Pro to the latest version, our wordpress does not work 'correctly' anymore. None of the drop down tabs in Wordpress will actually drop down. For instance, if I want to go change the PP meta settings, that panel won't actually drop down so I am unable to access the PP settings to update our site. Any ideas?

When you say "drop down tabs in Wordpress" do you mean in the Admin Dashboard or in the edit mode for a post or page? Try the following: 1. Deactivate PlatformBase (you should have PlatformBase, not PlatformPro activated). Activate TwentyTen theme and check to see if the same problem exists. Once you determine this, please let us know by adding to this even if you accept an answer. 2. Back in PlatformBase (version 1.4.1) you should deactivate each plugin, one at a time, checking in between to see if the problem resolves. 3. This sounds to me as if you have one or more older plugins that are not compatible with WP 3.2.1. Make sure your Plugins (click that on the left in Dashboard, even if you can't drop the list) and check to see if there's anything that's calling for update. If there is. Update it. 4. Check each plugin by going to http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins to make sure each is up to date and compatible with 3.2.1. When you search for your specific plugins, make sure too that there's no comments or indication that other users have cited it as broken. That's a major red flag. If there are any, replace it with a new plugin that is fully compatible and does the same function. Let us know the answers to the questions above.
