opacity setting of content box

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have a background that I really like and have loaded into the design control of the theme. I am now wondering if it is possible to control the opacity of the canvas so that the content is written on top of the background with a light white canvas that is still somewhat see through. Is it possible to control the opacity of the canvas background which will have the text written on it? Thank you.

Catrina, I do not have it up yet. I wanted to make sure it was possible before I did the design layout. Can you give me an outline of how I would go about doing it?

You'll need to add a CSS code like this:
div.canvas {opacity:0.4; filter:alpha(opacity=40);}
(As shown here for a graphic: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_transparency.asp) The selector (div.canvas) might be different for you, though, so that is why I need a link

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
