onepace 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2011 I would like all of my posts to show up like boxes. I want 4 columns and 5 rows of boxes that show nothing but the picture, but when clicked on link to a post about the item. I'm trying to set up a shop type site similar to http://www.giftsforyounow.com/personalized-grandpa-gifts_110.aspx Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jenny 33 Report post Posted October 24, 2011 The link you provided is a storefront, not a listing of posts. I'm not sure if that's what you want, but if it is, there are several e-commerce plugins at http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins. If you want your posts formatted differently so they appear in boxes, then that will take quite a bit of custom CSS code or perhaps someone has made a plugin for that (see plugin link above). Another option is to use something like NextGEN gallery to display your images and link them to your posts. If you're asking if PlatformPro does this out of the box, no. But you have the capability to make it happen using custom coding and/or plugins. ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up. Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted October 25, 2011 Hi Onepace, If you're trying to set up a shop type site, which is similar to the link you provided. Then the best suggestion is the one that @Simple_Mama recommend, by using a e-commerce plugin. I have linked below a few of the most used and recommend e-commerce plugins. http://jigoshop.com/ http://getshopped.org/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eshop/ http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/ Although I don't have any experience with any of the above e-commerce plugins, from what I've heard Jigoshop and the newly released WooCommerce are the best to use. cornell2 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2012 I have the same request ... I want to display, for instance, 9 posts, on a "box template" page. (say, 3x3) ... I don't want a list of posts - I want the actual posts displaying in these boxes. I don't suppose there is some way to trick platform pro into thinking that 9 posts (tagged with a specific category) are a box-set? I'm open to other ways of achieving this ... no doubt some widget .... suggestions?
