meanmcbean 12 Report post Posted October 22, 2011 There is a big white space on my home page between the boxes and the footer. I'm using Platform Pro and I've tried to use the CSS code provided to help others with this problem. I am having no luck. Can someone help? Rob 547 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 The white space is the dynamic content area. When you add posts to the site, they'll be listed there, filling up that white space. If you don't want posts to be listed there, and just want total control over your home page, you will need to create a static page. Let us know your preference and we can take it from there. meanmcbean 12 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 Thanks for your quick reply. No, I don't want any posts on the homepage. I have the home page set as a static page, but I have no other pages. I guess I can make a blog page, will that do the trick?
meanmcbean 12 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 Sorry, scratch that! I do have a few other pages (just doing many things at once...lol).
Rob 547 Report post Posted October 23, 2011 If the static homepage is empty of content manually added in the edit box, it will default to being a blog page. That's why Wordpress says to create a homepage with content and a blog page that's blank. If you've added a static homepage in Settings > Reading and it has nothing written in the edit box, you will get a content area on the page.
