Creating Ads

Recommended Posts

As shown in the Pagelines main website, what do I use for creating the Ads Boxes feature as shown there? Been looking around but can't find that feature in the template feature set. The Stream as shown there too, is that set up using the carousel or a regular feeding widget from something like flickr? I don't understand what Breadcrumbs or Soapboxes are not being a web oriented person. Can someone explain those? Cheers, Mark.

Are you referring to this website?: http://www.pagelines.com. If so, which section on the website are you referring to? The Breadcrumb links are links in a single line that show the hierarchy of certain pages (i.e. Page > Subpage). The Soapboxes are individual boxes shown in rows and columns with a small paragraph of text and an image.

Hi Mark, If you goto your Platform Settings, on the welcome/intro screen there are a bunch of plugins that Pagelines recommends, them ads you see on the Platform demo are created (I think) by using the plugin "WP125". I've posted a link below. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp125/ But the plugin at the moments seems to be broken, so I've actially added a few links for you to check out, these are apparently thes ones that are recommend. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ad-squares-widget/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-ads-manager/ But if I was you I would do a search through the Wordpress plugin repository or you could use HTML in a text widget?

If you want to add a link to an image, you do the following:
Ad Square
I've used your link and image link as an example.
