"Publish to Facebook" Check box within my Wordpess page

Help! I have my site set up to directly publish to Facebook when I publish a post. The problem is that when I am working on a page or post and saving and viewing and saving and viewing, to get it right, I have to always remember to uncheck that box or I have these unwanted posts to my Facebook page! There have been a couple of times that I didn't remember to uncheck it, so I have a page link published that's not finished. Embarrassing! Is there a way to make that be unchecked all the time until I am ready to check it?

There is no 'Publish to Facebook' feature in an PageLines theme. You must be using some kind of plugin from wordpress.org.

Christy, Pross is, as ever, right. We have "like" buttons and stuff like that, but nothing built in that publishes directly to Facebook. That simply HAS to be a plugin. Go to Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins and see what you have active.

Yes, this is a plugin, I just thought there was a way to turn on and off. I will check it out. Thanks

Christy, I imagine that if you deactivate the plugin, it may stop publishing new content to Facebook, but won't deactivate the stuff already sent. I don't recommend such plugins as they're broadcasting your content automagically, rather than at your personal discretion. Think about how important that can be when you're saving and testing new articles or updating corrections.
