aeverse 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2011 I recently purchased an SSL certificate to use with my shopping cart. I only want to apply https to my shopping cart pages, not the entire site. However, I get an error message: "this page includes other resources which are not secure" warning message. For only these images: http://www.hytrainium.com/wp-dev/wp-content/themes/iblogpro/images/favicon.ico any help appreciated, thanks, Amanda
Danny+ 1,327 Report post Posted October 11, 2011 Hi Amanda, Before I start, I would just like to inform you I have no experience with SSL and therefore I cannot guarantee the information below is correct. But I did some searching for you and apparently this is a Wordpress issue and not a theme issue. I read on a few forums that Wordpress has some issues display header images ect... But after careful reading I noticed one thing a lot of the users on these forums were recommending this plugin. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-https/ Apparently this resolved a lot of their issues and so I think it would be a good idea for you to at least give it a try but I will also flag this for a dev just in case. Please search our forums, before posting!
Simon 248 Report post Posted October 11, 2011 Just to clarify, you will get that error message on any site ;) What it means is any SSL site HAS to have all external images/js and css loading from the same SSL domain, otherwise you get the mixed domain error. So, if your cert is for shopping.domain.com and you pull and image from blog.domain.com, you get the error!
