This is a dumb question about categories

Is there a way to make the category "page" different from the "homepage." By that I mean, if I click on a specific category, I'd like the following page to look different from the homepage. As it stands now, they're pretty similar and might be confusing to someone who doesn't realize that they are now in the category section of the website. My website is www.theterribletwos.com

First, please send a link to your site. It always helps us to see what you're writing about. You can create a static homepage and another for all your posts. Categories generally use the Posts/Pages template, so you can adjust that to make sure it doesn't have the same components as your homepage. Second, follow the instructions here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page and when creating the static homepage (or front page, select one of the templates (there's a drop down list on the right). When creating a blog page, use a different template. Make sure the templates have different components by going to Dashboard > PlatformPro Settings > Template Setup. You can also create specific category pages and apply a plugin that lists categories or files from a specific category. I can't recommend one, but you can search for one at http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins. Then, you can adjust your menus to find the correct category pages as I have done at http://www.epicurus.com/Glossary Now, each category page will have its own, unique appearance.

Thanks! I provided my website in the original question at the close. Not to worry, I think you were able to answer my question without it.
