I renamed the "languages" folder to "language" - http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=1362 - no success I opened the po-file with poedit, save the file and load it on the ftp - no success What can i do?

Have you installed and used the "codestyling localization" plugin as well?

I installed it. The plugin shows the German language file (in bold for active), but the front page is english. I rescan the files, but no change.

Did you refresh your browser and all that too, the only problem people had with this was in regards to changing the folder name, which you already know about. There isn't a way to translate by hand the front page?

After hours i searched via Google i found the solution. 1. wp-config.php - define ('WPLANG', 'de_DE'); - I use the german version of WordPress from wordpress-deutschland.org, there is this setting out-of-the-box done. 2. Rename the folder "languages" to "language". - I found this 3 days ago in the forum. 3. Install codestyling-localization, in the options your language must be bold for active. 4. Click on edit language and on generate mo-file - the script writes a new file and localisation works!

Thank's Juergen. I had the same problem. But I would not recommand to rename the "languages" folder since wordpress is expecting it.
