Page issue Show Lower Sidebar on this page/post

Hi, I know this is an old post but I am running into this same issue. I want to be able to display the lower sidebar on the blog and posts, but NOT on specific pages. When I follow the instructions from this thread and uncheck "show lower sidebar by default", I can't get it to show up on the blog at all. However when I have that checked, it shows up fine on the blog, but then I can't get it to stop showing on other pages. When I uncheck the "show lower sidebar on this page" and save it, it still shows up. Is there any way to have it work like this or if I want it on my blog I pretty much have to have it on all other pages that use a sidebar? Thanks!

I'm having the same problem - I want the lower sidebar to show on all but a few pages, so I saved the theme options "show lower sidebar enabled by default". I then unchecked "Show Lower Sidebar" on a specific page options section. However, this setting shows the lower sidebar on every page. Alternately, I tried the reverse - turned off theme options' "show lower sidebar enabled by default" and tried to check "Show Lower Sidebar" on each individual page. However, this setup NEVER shows the lower sidebar. I'd really appreciate help getting the lower sidebar on all but this page - http://northstardiagnosticimaging.com/patients/online-registration-billing/ Thanks! Heather

By lower sidebar, do you mean the sidebar at the bottom on the right side (the "Patient Online Billing" widget)?

Hi, Catrina. Yes, you are correct. The Patient Online Billing HTML widget is redundant on this page, but I can't seem to turn it off on only this page.

Hi StMarie, If I understand you correctly, you want to hide the Patient Online Billing Widget on this page alone, is that correct ? If so, I would recommend you install one of the following plugins, these allow you to hide certain widgets on certain pages/posts. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-context/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/display-widgets/

Danny, the way it's set up (with a checkbox on each page and post) makes it seem like you can turn on and off per page. Thanks for clarifying or me; I'll look into the plugins you recommended. Have a great day! Heather
