iblogpro4: insert short code from plugin into feature box

Recommended Posts

Hi there Is there a way to add a short code from a plugin into the feature box ? I would like to have a download option in one of the feature boxes. Thanks for any idea, Frank

The feature boxes are shortcode ready. Did you try it adding it?

Same issue. I'm trying to a add shortcode from wp ecommerce to add a buy now button, but it won't work unless I add the entire product shortcode. The shortcode to add a button seems to work fine on a normal page, just not in the features page.

we made a small tweak to the feature box handling in the last maint. release of ibp4. Will have that out soon. The feature slides should handle shortcodes well, is that correct?

Thanks for your response arpowers. So you suspect that this will be fixed? It would be nice to be able to add 'buy now' buttons. Any rough ETA on that maintenance update? Trying to time a new product release with the new site release :)

HI there, I tried to add short code, but no proper result. I??m really looking forward to that maintenance release and would be happy if you could give a short hint when it will be available. Thanks F

My guess would be the next couple weeks or sooner, but Andrew would have to confirm.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, on further experimentation, most shortcodes aren't working for me anywhere...For example [audio], , [soundcloud] all aren't working for me. Please hurry with a fix. Thanks!

Let us know which theme/version you're on so we can figure out why. Where are you adding shortcodes?

I'm on iBlog4 pro. I think I needed to install youtube and soundcloud plugins to get it working. Seems ok now actually. Not sure why I had trouble with [audio]. Still no luck using add_to_cart from wp ecommerce though. Thanks for your concern and support. It is nice (and kind of shocking) to actually have a theme that gets responses. :)

yes, its out already... we have problems mass-updating through our current provider (eJunkie) So if you want it, just email us and we'll send it. The other good news is we're switching to a much better system for handling themes/upgrades within a couple weeks (no more eJunkie!) :)
