Which settings should I use to achieve this model?

Howdy people I'm kind of new in PlatPro, so I was wondering whether you guys could help me out a little bit. I need to build a blog from scratch following this model here (http://leandrokrugbatista.com/model.png). While I had no problem setting the social icons, the featured slides and the menu, I'm still not sure how I can set the other widgets. Using the headline system, for instance: I can make PlatPro show just one post, but not the other ones bellow, in that fashion. The slides from slideshare could be refreshed manually, but that would take a lot of unecessary work (maybe a category where it would only show a featured image instead of the post itself?). I'd also like to ask you people which podcast plugin for wp works best with PlatPro, if there is any. And that is a lot of stuff :) So, thx anyway!

Ricardo, First, please take a look at http://www.epicurus.com and see how I did some of the things you are asking about. Let me know if some of those are what you're trying to do. The "other posts" can be delivered through plugins or RSS by category. For podcasts my personal suggestion is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/powerpress/

Thanks for the fast reply! rangelone, it's kinda different from what you did there. If you check http://b33p.com.br/ you'll see something a bit more alike it: the slider with the posts looks much more like it, though it wouldn't slide actually; just show the last blog post. Bellow it, I'd like to have two columns with small thumbs of the other posts, as well as an excerpt (just like the b33p sections, bellow the slider). do you know the name of those plugins? And thx, I'll have a look at PowerPress ;)

RIcardo, I use DivUpContent (breaks up the Content area into boxes you can manage) Dynamic Dates (creates dates that adjust automatically, for things like copyright year. Media RSS External Gallery Widget Logic (determines which content appears on the sidebars in certain circumstances) WP RSS Import (creates a bullet list of posts from your site and can be used to grab by category). Special Recent Posts (the pro version is only $6US) adds a list of recent posts in a category with thumb. Among many others I use.
