Custom CSS for only 1 page

Recommended Posts

acephysio

I would like to use a custom css file for one page. However some of my div tags etc... are overriding the core pageline pro style.css and make the page look funny The page can be viewed at http://www.acephysio.com/special-offers/treat-planter-fasciitis-heel-spurs-naturally How can I use my own css, without overiding the menu css, and the bottom footer css?

Can you please paste your custom CSS? Place it in between [ code ] [ /code ] tags (removing the spaces).

This is were the custom CSS section comes in. Each page gets a unique class in the body tag. The page you've linked has a unique class of page-id-1456. So, knowing that, you can add custom CSS to specific elements by prefacing each entry with .page-id-1456. If you wanted to change the margin of every instance of theloop, you'd create a custom CSS entry of: #theloop{margin:10px} If you wanted to change the margin of the loop of the page you're referring to, you'd add this custom CSS: .page-id-1456 #theloop{margin:10px}

The 2nd answer did not help me, and I did not accept this as an answer so I have reposted for an answer that is more detailed, as I am not able to modify accordingly without additional assistance.

Hi Ace, The page you linked in the first post has an id of 1456. So with that, if you wanted to have custom css for this page only all you would need to do is look at the example below and use for any of the tags you want to style for this page only. If you look at your last post, the one above mine, near the top you can see this "
" now to give this a style for the page you linked in your original post, all you would need to do is this:
.page-id-1456 #header_secondpart { add css styling here. }
So you can change the #header_secondpart to anything you want. Hope that helps.
