When I have a subsections as drop downs to my navigation tabs, how to I disable the link on the main tab. In other words, I only want the submenu drop down navigation tabs to link to another page?

You can create a custom menu instead (Appearance > Menus). Create the menu with your navigation links (for parent pages and subpages). For the parent page link URLs, use the # sign instead of using a URL.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi, If you do as Catrina suggested and go to your Wordpress admin panel, then from there goto Apperance --> Menus, once you are on that page, look at the image below for instructions. All you need to do is click on the arrow on one of the menu items to show more options, then simply replace the link (for example: http://www.link-to-your-page.com) to # Like show in the image, then click save and when you reload your website, that menu item should no longer link to your page, as there is no link. Hope that helps

That does, but when I click on the arrow for a menu item it does not have the URL field. The first field I see is the Navigation label. Do I need to turn something on tot show that field?

All you need to do is add a new menu item using the Custom Links on the left hand, (look at image) for the URL use the # and for the label call it whatever you want it to be called, then click add to menu. Drag the newly created menu item to the one you are unable to change the link of so you're replacing it and then delete the old one . Thats the fastest way to resolve your issue.
