How to change social icons in header template?

Recommended Posts

mborries

Hello, my aim is to show other social icons in the header: for example "google+" and the german business network "xing". To create the icons are no problem, but how to insert: http://www.wallenstain.com/. Any idea. Thanks a lot.

Hi Mborries, There was a similar question posted recently about Google+, you can find how to implement it here. http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/comment/72990#Comment_72990 Also for Xing, you can try this, all you have to do is add this to your functions.php and your Xing link and it should work.
add_action('pagelines_branding_icons_end', 'my_xing'); function my_xing(){ ?> Custom Code
.icons .xinglink { background: url("PATH TO XING ICON/IMAGE") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; }
Give that a try and let me know if you have any problems.

Please search our forums, before posting!

Hello, yes the icon is in the header and it worked. That what I wanted. Only problem is, that the code is visible in the header: http://www.wallenstain.com. What can I do? How can I show you my function.php, how to quote here? Thanks a lot.
