Do caching plugins help or hurt PageLines performance?

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been messing around with W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache and I swear it's caused my site to be slower and have more problems. Does PageLines (Platform Pro) support page caching? Or is it a bad idea to use cache with this project?

I don't recall anyone else having issues with cache plugins and site speed. There shouldn't be an issue with page caching. Has deactivating the cache plugins made a significant difference in the site speed?

Catrina, yes, so far it has. Not sure what the deal is.

Have you already tried alternative cache plugins (like the ones listed here: http://sixrevisions.com/wordpress/caching-plugins/) to see if any of them can work effectively?

I have used W3 Total Cache on my larger blog (with another theme) and I had the same problems as you. Not to mention I had problems with changes I made not showing up. I have come across several other bloggers who had the same problem as well. This plugin is definitely on my stay away from list.
