Clarifications Needed - Before Actual Purshase

Recommended Posts

potatosoftware

Hello there and thank you for the design effort. I may be interested in your iBlogPro theme. However, I have two questions. 1. I am obliged to leave the "PageLine" logo on the bottom page ? 2. I have a legal concern. I am assured that Apple Inc. can not sue me or oblige me to shutdown the website ? Thank you in advance.

You are not obliged to leave the logo when you purchase the theme, also there should be no concerns of getting sued. Thanks for your interest.

Hi cmunns, Finally I made the purshase and I started construction of the website at http://www.pushframework.com Evrything is OK and perfect and I appreciate the work you've done. The whole burden of design is over. I am however, facing one issue. In fact, I need to change the logo picture. As you can see, I removed the header : so the logo will be placed in the menu bar in place of that front page picture. But how can I make my simple logo picture have that layer effect ? (In case of ambiguity I am speaking of changing the picture named : home-icon-trans.png) Looking forward to a helpful answer from you. Respectfully,

Hi, could you clarify on what you mean by 'layer effect'? A screenshot or mockup would help :)

Enter the URL of the PNG image in: iBlogPro >> Theme Options >> Header And Nav >> Navigation Home Icon This will put the icon in place Add the following code to your custom code: To alter position and dimensions: ` /* Custom Home button */ #wrapper #nav ul.dropdown li a.home, #wrapper #nav ul.dropdown li a.home:hover { background-position: 50% 50%; height:85px; margin:-50px 0 -17px; width:70px; } ` To move the header logo to the right: `#header {margin-left:108px;}` In this example the logo is 100x100 pixels but can be any size. For orientation please note that you are looking at a background image centered in a frame, so it is the frame you are moving and sizing. Be sure the "hot-zone" of the object does not cover other buttons or links. You have to adapt the values to suit you image and position of course. You best tweak it into position using firebug, and then change the values in the custom code accordingly.

@ arpowers & Jackey @Jackey : thank you for your tips that will surely help me if I had to make a logo bigger than the default one. I am affraid that is not my exact pbm. @arpowers & @Jackey : My exact pbm is that "layer effect". I have a simple shape ( a knight (chess piece) ) that I may use as a logo, but I'd like it to have the same characteristics ( colors, texture etc) as the picture you have in the top left zone of the top menu (home-icon-trans.png). It is indeed the same characteristics we find indeed in apple's logo. I have talked to a webdesigner here in Tunisia, and he told me it is a puzzle.

You can use any logo you wish that you can come up with. I recommend using png for transparency. We can't of course help with the actual design of your logo, I might recommend checking out: http://99designs.com/ Thanks, Bryan

oh I see Bryan, of course there is this limit between what can be easily achieved through some kind of thing, and what can only be achieved by some designer who must give energy and time to do it. It is just that I am not in the domain and failed to see the limit that I asked such question. Thanks.
