bethstansell 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Hi, Currently, I have 2 sidebars set up that, generally, span all pages of the site I'm working on. Primary sidebar (left sidebar) and secondary sidebar (right sidebar). However, there's the possibility that the primary, or left hand, sidebar will not be used on some pages. Unfortunately, after changing a test page to the proper layout (one sidebar on the right), my right hand sidebar becomes populated by content from the Primary sidebar (formerly on the left) and I can't get it to display the secondary sidebar content. Any ideas?
Rob 547 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Okay. Have you tried Widget Logic? It's a plugin available via http://www.wordpress.org/extend/plugins It allows you to turn off sidebar content on selected pages, posts, categories, etc. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
bethstansell 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2011 I have, thanks, but unfortunately this is for a client who will ultimately be maintaining the site so I was looking for something (really) easy to implement on new pages, etc. The answer wound up being using secondary sidebar content populated by the same content from needed sidebar that was disappearing and using the options to hide/unhide on the necessary pages. Thanks for your help though.
