1. You will need to hook into the main page by activating base and putting a function in functions.php See the doc and vid on hooks here: http://www.pagelines.com/docs/base-child-theme You will want to use the hook pagelines_inside_top_theloop. Once you've read that put :
echo "test";
into your function. Once you have that working: 2. Read about query_posts() http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts You will want to use that in your function to exclude the business category from the main page. Use the conditional
if ( is_front_page() )
to make sure you're only exluding from the front page http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags 3. Then make a new page for your Business blog. Make a second function in functions.php, using the conditional
if is_page('business')
or whatever the name is ( you can also use the id). Inside this function you will want to make a new loop using wp_query(): http://codex.wordpress.org/Class_Reference/WP_Query Here's an example:
query('cat=17&showposts=10'); ?> have_posts()) : $recent->the_post(); ?>
The '17' is where you need to put the id for your Business category.
