Text Appears Much Bigger in IE 8 & 9 Than Other Browsers

I'm having an issue where text appears much larger in IE than Firefox or Safari when using the standard WhiteHouse font settings. I've disabled all plugins and it doesn't seem to fix the issue. Any suggestions? Here's the site: http://www.ohionews.org

I'm getting a lot of CSS errors in Web Developer Toolbar for Firefox. I'm using a child theme with very minor edits. When i preview the non-child theme in IE, which has all the untouched WH files, the text is still large. I've also checked to make sure my IE text settings are set to medium. Zoom is 100%.

Resolved. All that trouble came down to an unclosed

tag in my features slider options. Sheesh. Hopefully this thread saves someone else most of the time I just wasted.
