brigfelt 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 hi there! we're setting up a platform site and have been trying to figure out why the page post templates in the template setup don't show up in our page editing options. so test posts are showing up in "categories" but are not showing up on the page we want them to show up on. Rob 547 Report post Posted August 29, 2011 Can you send a link to the site and point to where you see the posts and where you want to see them? Thanks! Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
brigfelt 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2011 www.brigfeltus.com/wp - I'm not talking about an actual post, but rather the post pages templates which are in "Template setup" don't show up in n the page setup template options. Thanks a lot for helping out!
catrina 103 Report post Posted August 30, 2011 Would it be possible to post a screenshot of what you see in Template Setup? Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. Designer | Catrina Dulay Founder | Catrina and Mouse
brigfelt 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Hi Catrina, thank you for your help - is it ok to email you the screenshots since I can't attach to this forum? Brig

brigfelt 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Hey, thanks so much! Catrina - here's two links to screen shots: The first screen shows the pull-down in Template Setup, which shows "Posts Page Content Area" and "Single Post Content Area." http://imgur.com/I9ZFq The second screenshot on the actual page section of the dashboard, the two areas "Posts Page Content Area" and "Single Post Content Area" don't show up in the template pulldown on the lower right of the page. http://imgur.com/z39Vh Thanks again, Brig Feltus
Rob 547 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Brig, everything you've show us looks perfectly correct. If you add a new template to your base, then it will show up on the list you indicate in the second screenshot. Since you're on a page, the posts pages template is already initiated by default (not to be confused with default template). I have 14 WP installations and absolutely every one of them is exactly the same as you described. There doesn't appear to be anything "missing" at all. brigfelt 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2011 Thanks, in the particular page in question, posts are not showing up - they're showing up in categories but not on the actual page. How do you link the page that I decided to be the blog page with the categories - so the posts will be displayed in a few lines (teaser) and have a "read more" link that would take you to a new page with the entire post? Thanks for your help, Brig
