How to activate Platform Base

I have the developer version. When I activate Platform Base as the theme, instead of Platform Pro, it appears to become the theme as one would expect, but when I return to the admin page, the Platformpro menu is all I see and it looks unchanged. I made sure the platformpro in the themes menu is all lowercase as instructed. Perhaps it's active and I need to do something else?

If you want to change the menu to lowercase letters instead of uppercase letters, you can do so with CSS added to custom code. Is this the issue you're having?

No, sorry. The issue I am having is simply accessing the Platform base theme at all. When I activate the platform base theme I don't see anything different than with the pltaform pro theme.

That's the way it is (it's not supposed to be drastically different from PlatformPro). When you go to Appearance > Editor, do you see the style.css file (the base stylesheet)?
