Recommended Posts

When I click on the continue reading link from a post excerpt on my front page (which is in magazine mode), it does not go to a single post page for that post (with the entire post). It goes to my About page. So there is no way for a reader to read an entire post. Please let me know how to fix this. Thanks!

Oh, the site is in maintenance mode. I misunderstood.

I just turned off maintenance mode so you can take a look. And I put a few example posts so you can see what I mean. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. It may be something very basic. Thank you very much for taking a look. http://njblawg.com/

Right now the "Continue Reading" link is: http://http://njblawg.com/http:/njblawg.com/about... which is strange Is that link being generated automatically?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

That helps. I do not know how to check, but I will try. It does that for all of the posts so it must be some general setting, right? I will let you know if I find any clues. If you think of anything please let me know. I greatly appreciate your kindness. Sam

It should be generated with an automatic setting if the post is an excerpt post. Can you try deactivating your plugins to see if any of them could be the cause?

I went to my permalinks and found the problem: I had clicked custom and then in the field was the link to my about page. When I changed back to default, the problem went away. So thanks! I would like to have the name of my links be something that reflects the content, but that is a smaller problem than not being able to see the entire posts. You're great! Thanks again!

Do you mean that you want to change the "Continue Reading" text to something else?

No, I mean I wish the link/location for each post was something other than the randomly generated number, preferably something related to the content.
