pmurphy 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2011 Hey, I asked about this on another thread but didn't get a reply. I'm looking for the code to put "The Latest" in the 5-Column footer. It's an excerpt from the most recent blog post. It's also seen on the bottom of the PageLines forum. Can someone post the code for this? Thanks!
catrina 103 Report post Posted August 26, 2011 I don't think it's a code that you can add, but it should be a default widget that shows up in the 5-column footer. Can you post a link to your site so I can see what the footer looks like now? Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. pmurphy 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2011 Hi Catrina, It is a default widget but if you edit any of the 5 columns, it removes the default from ALL of the 5 columns. My site is www.philipmurphy.com I know that others have received the code via email (I believe to add to functions.php). Any ideas?
catrina 103 Report post Posted September 22, 2011 I tried searching for the threads where this same issue is mentioned but I can't find them. Can you post the topic where you've seen that others have received the code? Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. pmurphy 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2011 I'll have to find it. I want to put the code in the footer but if I customize the footer at all, I lose that code.
Jenny 33 Report post Posted October 21, 2011 Why don't you just re-add all 5 widgets, including the recent post, to the 5-column footer? Then you will have more customization and control over what appears there. ♥ Jenny :: Web designer at Simple Mama (follow me at @simplemamacom) Check out Share Me, a social sharing add-on for DMS that is super simple to set up.
