Why do my blog links get an error message?

My blog page (not my home page) displays blog content fine, but when I click the blog title to see full text on a single page I receive a 404 error message (Error 404 - Page Not Found Sorry, what you are looking for isn't here.). How to i fix this? it seems the only way to read blog entries is by viewing them all at once on the blog page... Id like to be able to view them individually so I can share them on facebook, twitter, etc.

Check your permalinks settings, under settings->permalinks
