OK, i've tried everything and there is definately something funny going on with secondary nav. It will not show in the header and i have removed it from SB1 but it still shows there on the actual website. I have also had some problems adding and removing secondary nav from the header in the drag and drop template setup. for info i am not using child pages as secondary nav i am using custom menus Thanks in advance for your help

Antony, I'm sure you're frustration level is high, but please don't open a new discussion on the same subject. It makes it impossible for moderators to assist you and keep the thread of a conversation. I'm actually in here while off duty and while I know what you're going through, the next moderator won't. If you seek good advice, one single discussion on a problem will make it possible. Multiple ones just hurts your cause. So the next moderator can see it, please send a link to your site again in this discussion thread. Since you've written about this several times and seem to be having so many problems with many aspects of the platform, I'm going to escalate this to a developer for attention. Please be patient so they can review your problem. http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/comment/69259#Comment_69259 http://www.pagelines.com/forum/discussion/comment/69251#Comment_69251

Hi Antony, One thing to keep in mind is that the Secondary Nav only shows on the blog/post pages. Do you have a link to your site, please?

Ah... just a confusion of terms ;) The "Secondary Nav" is an actual nav row that appear dynamically if you have the option selected. Your's is truly just a a "secondary nav" in the sense that it's additional to the first. Does that make sense? They're two different things...

I think I understand, and I think I am getting secondary sidebar and secondary nav mixed up. I placed a custom menu in secondary sidebar and was expecting this to show up in secondary nav. The reason why my custom menu is showing up correctly in the footer is not because i have dragged secondary nav into the footer but because i have selected this custom menu to be in 'page navigation in simple footer section' in menus. So would i be right in saying that secondary nav only appears when you select secondary nav to be made of child pages - other wise, what is secondary nav? and thanks for your feedback :)

OK now I do get it..... Secondary Nav and Secondary sidebar are completely independent and secondary nav can be a selected custom menu shown in certain circumstances, in pages or posts. LIke someone else mentioned if you select a specific menu for secondary nav for a page it shows in the header by default without having secondary nav 'dragged' into the header area of the template. When you drag secondary nav into the header of the template it shows twice......any idea how to fix this?

Antony, Check Dashboard > PlatformPro > Header And Nav and look for the section "Use Child Pages for Secondary Nav" Make sure the one check box there is unchecked. Further down on the same page, "Posts Page Secondary Navigation" select your primary menu. Save your settings and see if that works.
