The beautiful Home Button; where are you?

Hey! Couldn't find anytopics on this issue. How is it possible to add a propper home button on the main nav? I'vetried using custom menus option but the dropdown feature wouldn't work with it. I've tried a few codes in the editor override but with no success. Also, I'm trying to find the blockquote code, I wan't to remove the background color. Can't find it in the code in php. Thanks in advanced for help!

To create a home link in your navigation menu, just type the URL of your site under Custom Links in Appearance > Menus and type the word "Home" (without quotes) in the Label field. Save it. Move your menu item (that appears at the bottom of the list up to where you want it. Save the menu then browse to your site. It should appear where you placed it.

This is what I've done. Hoverer I can't use the custom menu as the dropdown feature don't work with it. So my thoughts is that I need to override the css in order for this to work.
