URGENT- PLATFORM PRO WON'T SAVE AN IMAGE FOR A BANNER

Recommended Posts

krumvillebakeshop

Hi there, I have lots of working banners I've added to the website in the past. I'm reworking a page and want to add a picture to a new banner and it doesn't work anymore. Issue: The image loads up fine in the add new banner page, but when I got to save meta data and/or publish the banner Image is not there, it doesn't save it. Can you fix this issue somehow? thanks!!!

Can you send a link to your site and possibly paste some images so we can address this further? Also, have you installed any plugins?

I'd suggest you deactivate one plugin - try to upload the image, check the site with a hard refresh and see if it works. Failing that, do it for each plugin. Something - perhaps Pagelines, but not likely, wrote this:

and here you want to have the banner, there's nothing placing even a holder. I think it's a plugin blocking your efforts.

Ah, so it must have saved some portion of what you wrote. That's the proof it has to be a plugin. It could be any one of them. I realize it's a big task, but something we can't do remotely. The fortunate thing is that it could be one of the first on your list and then you won't need to do the rest. Remember, you only need to deactivate, not delete.

ok, it works now. is not a plugin issue. this is how i got around it. I created a new banner but this time I added a title, and uploaded fine. Works this way, is when you want to upload a banner with no title that creates the issue.it just doesn't work. Since I didn't want the title to show in the banner with the title banners CSS, I cleared the title from the add new banner page after I upload it once, entered custom type in the insets area then re-update the page. works, not clear why but does the trick. thanks anyway!

How did you do that. I have custom images I use for a banner and the title of the banner always shows up in the image. Were you able to get around that somehow?

He stated above that he created the banner with a title and saved it. Then he cleared the title from the banner page, entered 'custom type' in the insets area, then updated the page. Hope that helps.

I haven't used banners on any of my PlatformPro blogs so I don't have a lot of experience with them, but I did add a temp banner to try to see the section he was talking about .. don't see it. Hopefully @krumvillebakeshop can chime in and tell us what he meant.
