cw14226 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 My post pages are too narrow and I want to make them wider, how can I change the width of the post pages? Thanks
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 Can you post a link to your site and let us know exactly which part of the layout is too wide/narrow for your preferences? Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
cw14226 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 Sure can, here it is, thanks http://w2wma.com/blog1/2011/07/12/how-kids-learn-sports-from-the-active-for-life-website/
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 Okay. Let me clarify. It's only the posts pages or the entire site you wish to fix? By that I mean you want to widen the content area only or the broader width of the entire site layout? cw14226 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 I am particularly interested in widening the post pages, however, it may make more sense to widen all the pages if it is easier?
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 You should be able to set the width of the body through a simple CSS snippet in Custom Code. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
cw14226 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 You mean just width:1024px ?
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 Yes. In the body tag. Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 It should work. You may need some additional code for each section like main content, sidebars, etc. Do you use Firebug for Firefox? Former PageLines Moderator, Food Expert and Raconteur
cw14226 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks I started using Firebug but it was pretty intimidating. I'll give it a shot. Maybe I should upgrade to Pagelines Pro?
Rob 547 Report post Posted August 19, 2011 It would probably be a good idea. Firebug does take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, you'll be able to fix many of your own stying issues very easily.
