wonderwoman 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2011 Using the pages widget on the side for the site navigation I'm attempting to change the colour of the current page as it shows in the menu. I've successfully changed all links in the site so they highlight a different colour, but am completely baffled by the navigation... inspect element has only confused me no end. can't seem to find a proper css way of changing current_page_item so that it works. going around in circles for hours with this arrrgh tried : #subnav_row li.current_page_item a, #grandchildnav .current_page_item > a {color: #color;} to no avail. tried ul#menu-nav li.current_page_item {color: #color; }. is it not a nav item if it's in a widget? is there a better way to put the nav down the side of the page than the pages widget? should i be using something other than the pages widget? wonderwoman 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 Hi Kate I spent hours going in circles only to discover it's a Wordpress thing. Turns out the code in PP does something to the code for the pages widget. Worked a way around it not using PP Thanx anyway.
