Is there a way to add "the loop" to a page you are using as the home page?

It would be extra awesome if we had a dedicated "Section" we could move around our templates for this purpose.

Not sure what you want to achieve here. What i can make of it is this: You have set a custom page to your home page in wordpress settings right? and now you want to include the loop on that static page? Thus converting it back to a blog page??

For anyone who ever comes across this again, the answer is in the Templates area. Click on the area marked "Content" and you can play around with "The Loop" module.
