How do I remove the "featured image" from my actual post?

I figured out how to set the featured image in my post set up, however I do not want the Featured image to appear next to the title in the post when you view the entire "post page." It is repetitive! Please help, thanks. I'm not a good coder. I found several references to add or remove code, but they never said where to put it. If they advised removing it, it was not in my code to be removed. I installed PlatformPro the end of June 2011. Thanks.

Please go to PlatformPro Settings > Blog And Posts > Post Thumbnail Placement > uncheck the box next to Single Post Pages.
