Blog Page Configuration Question

Okay, what am I doing wrong? I've got a blog page set up, but I can't seem to remove the Features, Boxes and Banners from the layout even with a custom page. Is there some how-to for village idiots? Thanks, O

Have you tried disabling sections using Template Setup?
