catrina 103 Report post Posted August 6, 2011 Did you recently replace the default with your own favicon? Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Please read the docs before posting. copypro 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2011 Sorry, but what is an iframe and how do I fix it?
copypro 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2011 Simon, are you referring to the InfusionsoftWP web form?
catrina 103 Report post Posted August 7, 2011 Yes, that would be it. You can try using a different web form that fulfills the same purpose. Is it just a regular e-mail subscription form? copypro 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2011 Okay, thanks Catrina, however I'm committed to using Infusionsoft, so not interested in using another vendor for my data capture and follow up such as Aweber if that's what you are suggesting. I've done a little research, have a somewhat better understanding of what an iframe is and it seems to me there must be a fix or workaround because for instance here's another page with several iframes built into it and their favicon shows up fine: http://www.samisite.com/test-csb2nf/id43.htm Is the problem with Infusionsoft or Platform Pro? Kate 3 Report post Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Copypro, I wouldn't see a reason it would be with PlatformPro... the PP code (assigning the favicon) is simply being overwritten. You said that other site works... I'm assuming you mean the browsers it wouldn't show up in on your site. Is that correct? Have you tried contacting Infusionsoft to see if there's a way to remove the favicon call from their code?
copypro 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2011 Hi Kate, well that was a great suggestion, so I called IS and they suggested converting the png file to ico which I did. Now the favicon appears in Internet Explorer and Chrome but not Firefox... Weird, huh? Any idea what's going there? The site is www.powercurvemedia.com if you'd like to take a look. Simon 248 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 You have your favicon set to http://www.convertico.com/images/1312846243.89/powercurve%20favicon.ico This url is a 404 not found.
copypro 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 Okay, I think I fixed that, and it still shows up in IE and Chrome, but not Firefox for me. Could it be a cookies or cache issue? again for reference, www.powercurvemedia.com
Kate 3 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 Hmmm... Don't think it's a caching issue because it's not appearing for me either. Have you tried removing it, saving the options, then re-uploading it?
copypro 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 yep, just tried it, still not working. www.powercurvemedia.com if anyone would like to check
catrina 103 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 I've had issues with my own Favicon on Firefox (and I'm still trying to figure out what's going wrong). Can you try saving your .ico file with a different file name and re-uploading it? Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. copypro 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 Yes, just tried that, no luck. Here's what Infusionsoft says after sending to their higher level support team: "I must apologize but unfortunately we are unable to assist you with this problem. This has to do with the coding that is set up on your domain and not with Infusionsoft web forms." Presumably that points to a problem with the Platform Pro code, doesn't it? www.PowerCurveMedia.com
kastelic 6 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 I just bookmarked in Firefox and the favicon did show up, perhaps it was a caching issue. Screenshot:
