Copy, pasted Custom CSS from pagelines to text editor back to pagelines - NOW STYLING GONE!

Tried to copy my Custom CSS to a text editor, tidy up then paste back into Custom CSS box. I saved the cleared custom css box so all custom styling was deleted so that I could methodically tidy up the code in the Custom CSS box (my site went back to standard styling). As I entered the code back into the Custom CSS box, code that was working previously has now stopped working. Grrrr.... My site is on my local computer and not online, or else I would post the link. Please help! Thanks in advance...

I would double-check your code for any syntax issues, like missing closing brackets and the like. One of these can nullify all the rules following it.

Thanks kastelic... I have checked my syntax.... it's all fine (and it was working fine prior to the copy paste job). It seems as though the custom css that has been deleted has been stored somewhere, and some of it is still displaying despite being deleted. Ie if I empty my Custom CSS and save that, some of the styling still remains on the site. Any ideas?

Just as a side note.... if I enter my custom css code directly into the base themes style.css it works fine. So I'm thinking the issue is related to the Custom CSS box not working correctly. Obviously I could just code directly into style.css but this doesn't seem as ideal...? Thanks guys...

Did you check the custom.css file in your theme folder to see if the CSS you're inputting into the Custom CSS box is still there?
