poseyg+ 1 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 Ok...I should know how to do this...but with the 110 degree heat here in Tulsa, I think my brain has had melt down. How would I use a flash file "header.swf" in the Site Branding area? Thanks, Posey
Kate 3 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 Would you like it to replace the current content? If so, then you would need to use a combination of CSS and a hook. Are you familiar with hooks?
poseyg+ 1 Report post Posted August 2, 2011 Kate, LOL...yes, familiar with hooks. Was hoping I didn't have to go this way. Think what I will do, since the flash will show up as content in a "feature" is re-arrange the layout to show the "feature" above the nav. Then will use a slider plugin to replace what I was using the "features" for on the home page. Of course, if you want to send me a mock-up of the code for such a hook...well, I wouldn't hold it against you. Thanks, Posey
catrina 103 Report post Posted August 3, 2011 There is sample HTML code to use for adding a SWF file: http://www.walkernews.net/2009/07/18/how-to-embed-swf-in-html-code-or-wordpress-post/ (This is the HTML that will go inside the hook and should be edited to have the SWF file you want) Please read the docs before posting. poseyg+ 1 Report post Posted August 3, 2011 Thanks Catrina, What I ended up doing is inserting the swf file in a feature set entitled "flash". I then placed the Pageline Feature above the nav-bar. I then placed the "full-width" widget beneath the nav-bar....and wha-la! Header with a Flash Header. http://dev.store-direct.com is where I'm developing this. Again, as always...thanks, Posey
