tela 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 I think I found a bug in the new iblog4. I upgraded from iBlog 3.5.5. When I view the Feature options page, it correctly shows that I have 5 slides. However when I view the actual home page, 7 slides are displaying, 2 of which are blank. What's even stranger is that the blank slides are numbers 5 and 7. Because they are not showing up in the editor, I can't figure out where they're coming from or how to delete them. Please help!
Andrew 207 Report post Posted April 13, 2010 can you get me a live link? I need to see it on your site or duplicate it to see if its a bug or something on your end. Have you tried temp. disabling plugins to see if one could be related?

Andrew 207 Report post Posted April 14, 2010 Ran a W3 Validation on your site and found tons of markup issues. Most likely this is related. check out the w3 errors and see if you can fix them.. This might clear up your problem
tela 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2010 Does this mean that I need to go into the core files to fix these errors? It's weird because when I reference the feature editor from the dashboard, some of the markup errors are not reflected. For instance one of the markup errors is: Line 193, Column 93: end tag for element "strong" which is not open ??¦strategy built from the</h3><h2>Ground Up</h2> </div> ??‰ But when I view what the html is in the feature options editor, it's showing that I did put the end tag element in. Yet when I view the slide, all of the text is bold not just the title which would indicate that I didn't close the tag. I've only used to the feature options tool in the dashboard to edit the slides(not the core files) - so why is what's entered into the options tool, not reflected on the site or core files? Could something gone amiss when I upgraded from 3.5.5?
Andrew 207 Report post Posted April 15, 2010 The theme should validate fine. Either the plugins you've added or the content (in the features) has markup errors. My suggestion: try and isolate the issue. By selectively adding and removing feature text/content. Have you made any changes to the header?
