What's the default size for the custom header image?

I want to upload my logo to the custom header under theme options > Header and Nav. The default scale size is 1045 x 111 pixels which looks like it's scaled to size when I open the file in photoshop however when I upload the png file to WordPress it's way too big. Does anyone know what the maximum height and width is for the custom header and nav?

ok this would be the perfect header size height - 120x width - 963 you just have to add this #header { height: 120px; } to you style.css hope that helps
