I cant figure out Featured Area on top of website

Recommended Posts

Hello Forum members, I am trying to figure out why the pictures on my featured area are so zoomed in to the point that they only show part of the picture. IN previous conversations I have been told that I need to crop the image and I do not know how to do that, the size of the image is about 1 megabyte and the dimensions are 640 x 480. When I upload the picture on to the features settings the picture only shows about 20% of the picture because it is so zoomed in. Any help is appreciated. I do not know how to crop an image and change its dimensions. Instructions would be very helpful. I also posted a similar question in my prior discussion post that was posted yesterday. Thanks for the help

In a photo editing software, the crop tool will be available from the tools menu. It basically is a box you draw on the image selecting the area you want. You can resize an image also in the editing software. Have a look on YouTube for some tutorial videos

Preview comes pre-installed on your Macbook and can be used for this. Open the image you want to resize/crop and follow these steps. Resize: Tools > Adjust Size. Crop: Choose Select > Rectangular Selection, select the area that you want to crop, and then use Tools > Crop. Alternatively, you could use the shortcut Command+K after the selection is made.
