Adding content above div#container.fix and below main navigation

Recommended Posts

I have searched the forum for the past 6 hours trying to figure out how I add content above the div#container.fix and below the main navigation. I have also tried to add a leaderboard in the header to the right of the logo. I have tried to add functions and hooks but all I get is errors. I'm needing someone to hold my hand and walk me through the process. I am a total noob and do not understand the functions and hooks. At all. What I would like to accomplish is I am wanting to put a leaderboard image and a social widget above all content and right below the main navigation. A good example of I'm taking about is at http://mashable.com. You will notice a leaderboard ad along with a small container box to the right. Is anyone willing to work with me? In order to implement hooks, you'll need to create a child theme based on iBlogPro. Here is more information on what child themes are for and how they can be created: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
