Custom category pages and MoreFoot sidebar question

Recommended Posts

rufflemedia_creative

Hi all, I have two questions: How can I customize my category pages? I'd really like to have them display as 'magazine layout mode', while my main blog page remains in 'blog layout mode'. Also, it seems I cannot remove the MoreFoot sidebar from my blog and post pages without having to use custom code. Can anyone help me with these issues? I'm fine with html and css but, php and functions aren't my strong point! My site's hosted locally right now, so I can't send a link. Cheers :)

I think the custom category pages will have to be set up using some custom code. As for the MoreFoot sidebar, have you already tried disabling it in PageLines Settings > Template Setup > Site Footer?

Thanks Catrina Yeah, I only want to disable the MoreFoot sidebar on the main blog page and posts pages though. I realised I can set the category pages to display summarized posts with thumbnails and this will do for what I need!

Ah, I see. There are options to hide the MoreFoot sidebar in the posts pages if you look PageLines Section Control in the post editor. You'll need to hide it in the main blog page by using CSS, which is the best way to disable it.

Ah yes, thanks! You can't edit the Pagelines Section Control on the 'Blog' page though, so I'll try out some CSS to disable it. :-)
