Custom CSS not working

Recommended Posts

dhurd7333

I pasted this into my custom code, but there seems to be no change, refreshing my browser, reloading the page. Is there some reason why Custom CSS can fail to function? body {} h1.site-title {color:#660000;}

Try the !important declaration which overrides any CSS:

	h1.site-title {color:#660000 !important;}

adding !important did not work.... could this be a permissions issue?

Oh wait, i see what's going on. The site title is not an h1 so that code won't work. Try it with dropping the h1 from the rule.

That didn't work either, I think there is something else going on, something preventing any custom css from working like a permission issue...but where to look ?

Can you check the custom.css file in your theme folder to see if the custom CSS you added is showing up there?
