How to remove black footer

Recommended Posts

davecfm

Hello, I have tried to remove the black footer on my page http://www.davec.fm/ with limited success. The custom codes I have tried: Edit: Credit link removed. If you need CSS to remove the footer credit, contact the help desk at [email protected] or upgrade to Developer. The below made no changes after the first one: .footer {display: none;} Please help. Also, is this the correct code needed for a custom image to be displayed on a single page? .page-id-99, {background-image: url("http://davec.fm/wp-content/themes/platformpro/images/myfront.jpg") no-repeat !important} I've tried numerous times. No luck. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere else? Thank you, Dave

Hi Dave, Try going into the Platform Template Setup options and removing the footer sections from the Site Footer if you do not want them to appear. The black box that shows up is a result of the body background of your site, which is set in the design control options, being set to black. If you change that option to white the black footer will disappear. Technically you already have no footer but because of the different divisions on the page the black is showing up anywhere your site does not have enough content to pull the main content section down to the bottom. Cheers,

OK, but what about my full sized background image for the page? Wouldn't that be enough content? Thanks
