Adding comment forms on pages?

I've added the necessary pages to my site and they appear in my navbar but for some reason the comments form is not appearing on the page so that viewers can leave their own comments. I've checked both boxes within WP (Allow Comments and Allow trackbacks and pinbacks) and saved the page but when I check the page there is still no form fields to allow comments. I've also unchecked and rechecked the tick boxes a few times to see if that helps but to no avail. Any ideas?

did you select 'show page comments' in the theme page/post options? We have a special feature for this as we don't care for how WP handles both page and post comments the same way Coincidentally, I just had an debate w/ Joseph at Automattic(WordPress) about this... what are your thoughts?

Thanks for that....can't believe I didn't see it, it's been a long day! As for the special feature, it's a no brainer for me. I love it and personally think it should come as standard in WP.

Unfortunately I have the same problem as Chris, but I do not have any option in my iBlog settings to enable comments on pages. Is there anything I haven't seen or was the config changed in the meantime? Thank you for helping me out.

Same problem here (v4.1), the 'show page comments' setting is missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have Whitehouse Pro 3 and there is no option for "show page comments". One needs to click on the blog post header and then they get a reply box. How do I get "Leave a Reply" like in the demo?
