Clear final 2 w3c validation errors

Recommended Posts

Hi, Can someone help me clearing two w3c validation errors. Bad value EditURI for attribute rel on element link: Keyword edituri is not registered. ??¦"RSD" href="http://www.mydomain.com/wordpresstemplate/xmlrpc.php?rsd" /> and Bad value index for attribute rel on element link: Keyword index is not registered. ??¦dex' title='My blog' href='http://www.mydomain.com/wordpresstemplate' /> I'm in the process of creating a shell site for all my projects, with the standard plugins and template I'll use for the huge majority of my clients. As this will be my baseline for all future developments, obviously I want it to be as clean as I can get it. Fortunately for me, PP cleans up almost all of the "default" validation errors which seem to come with Wordpress. That alone puzzles me no end... but that's a topic for another day. These are the final two errors I don't seem to be able to clean up.

I searched to see if any other WordPress users had your issues and I found the following... For the "Bad value EditURI for attribute rel on element link: Keyword edituri is not registered." error: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/html-validation-error For the "Bad value index for attribute rel on element link: Keyword index is not registered." error: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/19961/wordpress-site-validation-errors I hope the info provided is helpful!

Hi Katrina, Thanks for taking the time to respond. You've cited the same articles and solutions I too have found and tried. By attempting to tweak the wp header as per the article, I only made a gazillion more errors! Bummer. was hoping there was a way to create a completely clean template, but at this stage it looks like it will go into the "too hard" basket. Will mark this as closed and live with the two errors.
