Customizing Nav CSS

Recommended Posts

gayatriom

Basically I added #primary-nav ul.main-nav li a{ float: left; margin: 0; padding: 0 15px 0 5px; color: #666666; font: bold 14px/40px 'Gill Sans MT','Trebuchet MS', 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Sans-Serif; text-transform: uppercase; } To make the css changes, but now to make the sliding doors tab navigation I can't figure out what the 'current' css is for the nav. On the original site it looks like the following: #header #nav ul li#current { background: transparent url(../images/left-tab.gif) repeat-y; } #header #nav ul li#current a { color: #444; background: transparent url(../images/right-tab.gif) no-repeat right top; } However, i cannot figure out the css tag in platform pro.

Try

li.current-menu-item
or
li.current_page_item

Hey that doesn't seem to work. I added li.current_page_item { background: transparent url(../images/left-tab.gif) repeat-y; } li.current_page_item a{ color: #444; background: transparent url(../images/right-tab.gif) no-repeat right top; } but to no avail. I used the menu one also

I think the selectors need to be slightly different. Try this:

ul#menu-primary li.current-menu-item {background: transparent url(../images/left-tab.gif) repeat-y;}

	ul#menu-primary li.current-menu-item a {color: #444; background: transparent url(../images/right-tab.gif) no-repeat right top;}

Try this instead:

ul#menu-primary li.current_page_item {background: transparent url(../images/left-tab.gif) repeat-y;}

	ul#menu-primary li.current_page_item a {color: #444; background: transparent url(../images/right-tab.gif) no-repeat right top;}
