Adding space between nav bar and content

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've added a white background to the content on my pages and want to add some space so there's at least 1/2 inch between the nav bar and the white of the pages. I've added this background and thought padding would work but I can't figure it out. Can you advise? Thanks! http://jordanadance.com/performance-bio Here's the code I added .mcolumn-pad{background:url(/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/back.png)} right now I've been just experimenting with a white background that might change. Thanks!

You can use margin instead of padding: ` .mcolumn-pad{ background:url(/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/back.png); margin-top:28px; } `

Tim, that worked. Thank you so much! Now is there a way to also get the banner and box pages to work as well so the white space will fill the page (I have added a sidebar wrap - which is working on the banner pages but not the box pages). I would love to have the content sections white for those as well, including the banner and boxes. Thank you!

Hi Jordana, Which pages have a banner or box set?
