Specific Differences between testing and pro versions of ECO Pro

Recommended Posts

I have been working with the free version of ECO pro for a week, developing a site, getting to know the software and interface and have been very happy with it. I upgraded to the pro version looking for additional customization options. I installed it on a godaddy hosting account and have explored it trying to find different options not available in the free version, but do not see any. In fact the pro version has less plugins installed than the free version as far as I can see... I just can't seem to find any major differences... Sorry to be a pest, just trying to get a better handle on this development platform... Could you explain in more detail what I should be seeing in my pro installed version versus the free version? The only difference I have noticed was the pro version give me access to the style sheet, which for me (not a professional) is far to confusing to mess with... Other than that I cannot find any differences... Thank you in advance for your help.

Where did you get the free version? No plugins come bundled with the theme. Plugins are installed separately from the wordpress plugins repository.

No pagelines theme, paid or free, comes bundled with those plugins, except akismet and hello dolly which are from wordpress itself. Same question as Simon, where did you download your theme from?

Anthony, do you meant the test site? http://test.pagelines.com It runs the latest PRO versions of the themes so you can test them out.

Gentlemen, Hey Simon and Tim, if you read my question slowly before insinuating I might be mistaken, perhaps you will find I said the the testing version in both the question itself and my last reply... So for your information the testing version DOES in fact come with all of those plugins I mentioned pre-installed. Perhaps someone could answer my original question, what are the specific differences between the "test" and PRO versions...

OK to answer you question fully.. There is no difference between ecopro on http://test.pagelines.com'>http://test.pagelines.com and ecopro that you download from http://www.pagelines.com/launchpad/member.php. They are the exact same version. The install of wordpress on http://test.pagelines.com'>http://test.pagelines.com is a multisite and has various plugins installed so you can test various setups, all those plugins are freely available on the wordpress plugins repository, as I mentioned before. I only thought you might be using the free version available here after what you said in your OP.

I have been working with the free version of ECO pro for a week, developing a site
Sorry if there was any misunderstanding.
