Random String of Numbers Letters appending to URL

I am running Platform Pro Base on Wordpress Multisite 3.1.4. Shortly after updating to the latest version of Wordpress (3.1.4) a few days ago - I noticed that a random string of numbers and letters are appending to my site's URL in the address bar as follows: http://gulfcoastrising.com/#axzz1QwBkOEz9'>http://gulfcoastrising.com/#axzz1QwBkOEz9 of course the URL should display as: http://gulfcoastrising.com/ I have been through three rounds of support with HostGator - we've looked at rewrite rules, plugins, etc...they seem to think the issue is a theme problem - (being caused by the theme). And when I deactivate Platform Pro Base - and activate an alternative theme (Twenty-Ten) the random string goes away. Reactivate - Pagelines Pro Base - it appears again. Any thoughts on a fix for this? Thanks!

hmmm...verry interesting...thanks for pointing me to it So Catrina - do you think the javascript issue would be plugin related? is it a matter of ditching a plugin or something else?

It might be. Try deactivating your plugins one by one to see if any of the might be causing the problem. Also, try clearing your browser's cache.

well it's showing up like that in multiple browsers - the folks at HostGator could see it too. Let me try deactivating plugins.

it's fixed. removed some additional header scripts from the header/footer custom code forms at Pagelines. Catrina you're brilliant! Me and ten guys at Hostgator have been slogging through this for two days. Karma points for you my dear.
