Remove certain pages from the Pages column in the footer

Recommended Posts

http://www.durhamdigs.ca/ I would like to remove certain pages from the pages section in the footer. I would like to keep all the Parent pages and remove the child pages. For my site that would mean removing all the garden pages. Thanks, Jim

In Appearance > Widgets, you can add the Pages widget as the second widget in the Footer Sidebars sidebar. Once you've done that, you can hide pages by adding the pages ID numbers for the ones you want to hide. To find these page ID numbers, you can go follow these steps: 1. Go to Pages on Dashboard. 2. Mouse over the page title links listed on the left side. 3. Look at your browser status bar at the bottom and look at the end of the URL. There is something that looks like this: post=NUMBERHERE NUMBERHERE should be a number. That number is the page ID for the page you've moused over.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

When I enable the Pages widget I can only assign it to position 1. THis then disables the other widgets in the footer that came with the theme. Edit: I just read your other reply. I'll add widgets to replace each of the columns that came with the theme.

I added the "Pages" Widget and excluded the required pages via the page ID. Cheers, Jim
